This mailing list provides a forum for the members of the Visually Impaired Computer Society. All discussions on the list should relate to information and communication technologies and especially how ICTs are used by the visually impaired. Any news stories which are relevant to the visually impaired's use of ICTs may also be posted to the list. Information on events, projects and general happenings in VICS will be posted to this list. All questions are welcome on the list, no matter how simple, as long as it relates to the use of information and communication technologies by the visually impaired. There is no such thing as a stupid question! No attachments should be sent to the list. Any messages containing attachments will be discarded. All beliefs and opinions are welcome on the list with the proviso that you respect the beliefs and opinions of others. No flaming or abusive behaviour will be accepted. To post a message to all the list members, send email to vicsireland@lists.ie. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to VICSIRELAND
Subscribe to VICSIRELAND by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
